Image Resizer
Upload an image and resize it to the exact width and height you want. Quickly produce the sizes you need for profiles, thumbnails, banners, and social media images.
Resize precisely, down to the pixel
Enter the width and height directly to resize your image to any size. With the keep-ratio option, the image is resized to the original proportions so it doesn't get stretched or squished.

Processed safely in your browser
Resizing runs in your browser and your images are never stored on a server. You can resize even screenshots or documents that contain personal information with more peace of mind.

Frequently asked questions
Will resizing keep the aspect ratio?
With the keep-ratio option, you can resize while preserving the original image's width-to-height proportions. For example, if you enter only the width, the height is calculated automatically to match the original ratio. Keeping the ratio helps avoid images that look stretched horizontally or squished vertically. For images where natural proportions matter — like profile photos, product images, and thumbnails — it's best to use the keep-ratio option.
Which formats can I resize?
You can resize images in the most common formats — JPG, JPEG, PNG, and WebP. Upload all kinds of images such as photos, screenshots, web images, and design mockups to adjust their size. That said, the exact supported formats can vary by implementation, so if you upload an unsupported file type, it helps to convert it to PNG or JPG and try again.
Is there a limit on image size?
Image size limits can vary with browser performance and device specs. Uploading a very large image may make processing take longer, or slow down the browser on mobile. Typical web or social-media images are handled without trouble, but for ultra-high-resolution originals or very large files, it's best to reduce the size first.
Does resizing reduce the quality?
When you make an image smaller, you can usually use it without noticeable quality loss. However, enlarging an image beyond its original size means the missing pixels have to be filled in, which can make it look blurry. For the best result, rather than enlarging far beyond the original, we recommend reducing it to the size you need within the original dimensions.
Can I use it on mobile?
Yes, you can upload and resize images in mobile browsers too. Select a photo or screenshot saved on your phone and resize it to the size you want. That said, processing very large images can take a while depending on your mobile device's performance, so large images may be more stable to work with on a desktop.
Is the original image kept intact?
Yes. A typical resize tool doesn't modify the original file directly; it works by letting you download a new, resized image. So your original image stays on your device, and only the resized image is saved separately. To keep you from accidentally overwriting the original, it's also a good idea to add a label like resized to the download filename.
